Amanda King

Amanda Youngs, OTRL attended Baker College of Flint for both her Bachelors in Health Science and Masters of Occupational Therapy, and also has a minor in Psychology.   She has been with Kids in Motion since June of 2013 and works full time in the Highland and Waterford clinics and substitutes in the schools when needed.  She has a passion for working with the pediatric population.   She does aquatic therapy with many of her children on her caseload and enjoys oral motor treatment as well.   Amanda is familiar with myofascial release and kinesotaping techniques, splint making, Astronaut Training, Brain Gym, and Therapeutic Listening and has began training in craniosacral therapy.   She enjoys supervising occupational therapy students and taking continuing education courses.   In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Donavon, family, and friends and playing with her dogs Grizzly and Penelope; as well as scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, wake boarding, snowmobiling, and relaxing at her and her husband’s summer lake house.   She also is an avid artist and paints murals and sells her artwork.
