Alysia Thomas – MOTRL
Alysia Thomas is a certified occupational therapist who has received formal education achieving her Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology through Lyman Briggs College at MSU, Bachelor’s of Science in Pre-Occupational Therapy and Master’s in Occupational Therapy through Baker College. She has formal feeding training as a Level 1 Talk Tools feeding therapist and is also competent in a variety of feeding interventions including SOS Feeding Approach and Beckmann’s oral motor intervention. Alysia also is competent in remediation of oral motor skills for feeding following lip and tongue tie releases. Alysia is certified in Vital Stim for Dysphagia and enhancing oral motor skills utilizing NMES. She also specializes in primitive reflex integration for postural control and sensory intervention strategies to enhance regulation in children. She has been working with Kids In Motion since March 2017 and is a certified Fieldwork educator through the American Occupational Therapy Association. Alysia is married with 5 fur babies, 4 rescue cats and 1 Doberman pinscher. She enjoys macramé, crafting, boating/kayaking, traveling, and snowboarding.
