Rhonda Shaver – OTL
Rhonda has been in the pediatric field since 1995 with emphasis within the school setting. Her career started at Hurley Hospital with treatment outcomes in Rehabilitation and home care for adults and pediatrics. In 2000, She joined Kids in Motion as a therapist within the Huron Valley Schools in the Early Intervention and Preschool Program for Special Education. In addition, she also works as the school manager overseeing the occupational and physical therapists within the Huron Valley School district.
She has been very successful in treatment outcomes with children of a variety of diagnoses from Autism, Developmental Delay, multiple Syndromes, Genetic dispositions, Neuromotor difficulties, Learning Disabilities and more within the program age ranges include birth-6 years of age.
Professional interests include Sensory Integration, feeding, Therapeutic Listening, and Cranio-Sacral. Rhonda manages further training, expertise, and a strong passion in Astronaut Training, Reflex Integration, Kinesio Taping, Handwriting Without Tears, Neuro Development Treatment, and seating/mobility. Skilled intervention, family coaching, family education and team collaboration occur on a daily basis. Rhonda truly believes in the importance of strong rapport between the child, parents and team members to allow each child the opportunity to reach their maximum potential. Recently Rhonda was quoted saying “I really love what I do, it make me smile every day!
